Top 5 Wristlets: A Flick of the Wrist

Top 5 Wristlets

Lately, I’ve been carrying a wristlet pouch that came with one of my Gerard Darel bags, and I can’t stop using it. The convenience and compactness are addicting. The problem is that it’s unlined, so the suede interior leaves little fuzzies on my phone. Only one solution – it’s time for a proper wristlet that’s more thought-out. These are my top choices, each one with interior zip pockets to keep cash and cards safe. A lot of times, my wristlets get thrown into bigger bags, but paring down can be very liberating. All I really need are the essentials in it, anyway – cash, cards, phone and lip balm!

Maison Martin Margiela Envelope Clutch: Some of these are more organized than others. Surprisingly, the MMM is the most functional and even comes with a mirror. At Saks Fifth Avenue for $1,175.

Valentino Rockstud Clutch: Valentino rockstuds served up to-go! Even with minimized space, you don’t lose any of the label’s flashy style on this slim clutch. At Saks Fifth Avenue for $1,395.

Proenza Schouler PS11 Textured-Leather Wristlet Clutch: With smaller bags, I say the brighter the better! Most wristlets are shapeless waifs, but Proenza keeps its signature structure. On Net-a-Porter for $1,225.

Mark Cross Scottie Wristlet: If you’re using your wristlet like a wallet, then price becomes an issue. But if you’re like me and find this compact convenience to be life changing, then daily use can justify even this top price. At Barneys New York for $1,695.

CC Skye Victoria Wristlet Clutch: Here’s a true wristlet (and a Frugal Snob one at that!) – you’ll never have to worry about losing this because you’ll be handcuffed to it. On Shopbop for $275.
