Wow this cover is amazing! I’ve never been particularly inspired by Gwen Stefani’s style, but daaang everything about her look here is just absolutely stunning. First off…someone get me this whole YSL outfit (at the very least the hat!), and second I need, need to rock her hair. I just picked up a few structured hats at Rag & Bone – I’m not one to typically go for structured hats, but these are so awesome and versatile enough to work in both the warm and cold weather – so I’m feeling particularly inspired. I love the slight volume and movement in Stefani’s hair, which can be achieved by applying lightweight mousse/oil and a thermal protectant to hair when it’s damp. Then blow dry and use a medium-barrel curling iron to put waves in random sections – brush them out for a relaxed look and if needed us a styling paste to roughen up the look for a more casual feel. I think my next trip needs to be to California…..
