Is it me or did Emily Blunt look like a Marion Cotillard doppelganger at this year’s Critics’ Choice Movie Awards? Either way she looked stunningly glam in a retro, Old Hollywood way. Her reddish smoky eye, crimson lips, and sleek wavy hair were pure sultry sophistication. I’m surprised that her bobby pin was so visible, but she looked so great it actually didn’t disturb all that much. This is a perfect look for someone with shorter hair or someone with shoulder length hair because you can just fold and sweep the hair and secure it after deeply parting it. Also loving the collar of her Miu Miu dress!
When it comes to getting a hair style as structured as this one, a key thing to remember is to make sure your hair is as hydrated as possible. Moisturized hair requires less product so opt for a hydrating shampoo and conditioner before styling. Also remember to use a medium barrel curling iron after side-parting your hair and to only shape starting at around eye level.
