The shows have officially kicked off! Here’s a look at some of the stand-out looks thus far (expect more daily updates!).
Helmut Lang: The idea here was to create a lived in look. I love the side part and tousled waves, while the makeup was inspired by “an off-duty ‘90s girl on a Sunday morning with slept-in, smudged eyes and scrubbed polished skin – a cool, effortless beauty.” Created by NARS one of the key products used was Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF30/PA+++.
Jason Wu: Kerastase enlisted Odile Gilbert to create this fantastic look. To get it create a long, deep part. Then, section off the hair into two sections – front and back – spray each section lightly with Double Force Hair Spray. Take the section at the back of the head and create an African braid; set with Double Force Hair Spray. Tuck the end of the braid underneath creating a chignon. Slick back one side of the front of the head with Elixir Ultime Rose Millenaire for a chic, strong effect. Create a single finger wave on the other side of the part, also slicking back with Elixir Ultime Rose Millenaire for shine and texture. Spray the entire head with Double Force Control Ultime to hold the style. Get all of the aforementioned products here.
Alexander Wang: Diane Kendal for NARS Cosmetics created the makeup look to go along with one of Wang’s best collections to date. The focus was on a clean face (hence the dyed brows), and matte skin and to go along with the glow in the dark looks the models wore, powder was applied to the high points of the cheek for luminous finish (Light Reflecting Setting Powder – Loose, new for Spring 2013, for a similar effect, try Loose Powder).
Monique Lhuillier: Odile Gilbert, once again working for Kerastase, created this mermaid-inspired style. To get the look, create a middle part and from mid-lengths to ends, spray hair with Double Force Controle Ultime and use a three-barrel iron section by section to create polished, crimp-like waves. Then Make an extreme wet look at the top of the head by applying an ample amount of Elixir Ultime. Apply more Double Force Controle Ultime at the top of the head and smooth it down behind the ears to keep the look in place. Get all of the aforementioned products here.
