Derek Lam: Estée Lauder creative makeup director Tom Pecheux led the makeup team to create this look along with manicurist Jin Soon Choi (I went to her salon in NYC for the first time a few weeks ago – a must! Her color selection is insane). Estée Lauder’s new Pure Color Nail Lacquer in So Vain (launching March 2013), was used on nails. I’m loving the full brows here and the natural lips. Funny enough Pure Color Stay-on Shadow Paint in Halo and Pink Zinc, both launching January 2013, are what gave the lips their natural-looking gleam.
Rag & Bone: This is one of those looks that is amazing on the runway, but would look absolutely insane in real life. Redken creative consultant Guido is the man responsible for the sleek, slicked back look. He wanted the forehead exposed because it “makes for a dramatic look and adds structure as a way to update a textured, wavy look.”
Thakoon: Look at those eyes! Created by Diane Kendal the 1930s brow was inspired by Mia Farrow in The Great Gatsby. Jodhpur Eyebrow Pencil and Mambo Eyeliner Pencil were used on the brows. Bali Single Eyeshadow, Blondie Single Eyeshadow, and Santa Monica Blvd Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner were used on the eyes.
