This summer Gucci launched a new collection of fragrances, Flora by Gucci Garden Collection, and it includes five fragrances inspired by the five most important blossoms outlined on the iconic 1966 Gucci scarf designed by Vittorio Accornero for Princess Grace of Monaco. These five new fragrances are: Glorious Mandarin, Gracious Tuberose, Gorgeous Gardenia, Glamorous Magnolia, and Generous Violet. I’m not one to opt for floral scents typically, but I was immediately drawn to these scents because of their beautifully streamlined hexagonal shaped bottles and transparent stoppers. Can’t you just picture yourself lounging in a white marble bathroom wearing a plush robe with a sterling silver tray displaying all five of these scents sitting atop the counter…how chic would that be!?
In the meantime…..The idea for this collection is that each fragrance reflects a different side of the same woman: gorgeousness, grace, glamour, generosity, and glory. I’m not sure that I’m so confident as to say that I fancy myself all of those things, but after smelling and spritzing myself with each of these fragrances I can say for sure that Gorgeous Gardenia is my favorite. And, just so we’re clear, it was my favorite even before I read that “the Gorgeous Gardenia woman exudes a sultry sensuality that is lushly enticing. Men are drawn to her as bees are to a blossoming flower,” but hey…that can’t hurt!
I will report back on whether this fragrances succeeds in drawing in men at a later date:)
