Chloé Lucy Leather Tote: I Love Lucy

Chloé’s latest addition has an understated, Lady-Gaga thing going on, although that does sound like an oxymoron. Cute with enough edge to prove you enjoy a day bag with spice, you could style this to the nines (a la a fashion-worshipping pop star) or take it down a notch for weekend brunch (a la a fashion-worhipping bag snob).

Either way, this bag is of one of my favorite breeds: basically simple with several details that really heighten the appeal. You get the vibe of white for summer, but the parts that get dirty are black – brilliant. Not only is it a cool juxtaposition, I love a contrasting panel with a purpose, this one creating functional outer pouches. It begs to house a laptop and loose papers, but I’m seeing more for this number than long office days. Chain-trimmed zipper pulls top it all off in style, announcing the Lucy may be structure, and she’s also ready for a little fun. On Net-a-Porter for $3,795.
