No. Just…no. This is a situation where I need to speak out on principle. Whether it’s Ugg or Mou or whatever other single-syllable brand that produces comfy monstrosities like these, I’ve had enough. Shouldn’t these boots have been outlawed years ago?
You know I’m all about comfort, as I’m also usually in favor of studs saving a boot from slob territory. But I’m not going to let these shearling-lined boots slide just because they’re made of washed leather and bedecked with cool hardware. It’s just too easy for them to get into the wrong hands (as in, the girls who wear them like they’re high fashion). There’s a time and a place for everything – wear these to your heart’s content as you stumble out on your lawn in pajamas to grab the newspaper or curl up for a long, overseas flight. All I’m saying is: just don’t let such a style make it past the curb or runway. Even if you spent 400 bucks on the damn things. On Net-a-Porter
