These sneakers are pure indulgence. Which means for me, they are merely good from afar. Sure, they’re super-cute, but at this price, such a shoe won’t be a reality for my tots. However, if you need a gift to really impress someone who has everything – like your boss at baby-shower time – the Gucci’s aptly named Guccissima kicks are waiting for your credit card. The color-blocking options, whether you go boyish with navy, white, and mustard ($265) or girly with beige-pink, white, and magenta
($265), are both pretty sharp.
No Velcro here! Such decadent high-tops are Italian-made (for this price, they’d better be!) have two adjustable hook-and-loop straps to keep your tot’s feet firmly planted. And of course, the Guccissima logo is embossed on the leather. Why pay $265 for a child’s sneaker if it doesn’t scream designer?!
