I’m majorly obsessed with Mario Badescu and the brand doesn’t get nearly the attention it deserves! It’s actually odd that we don’t hear more about MB because they’ve got a huge celebrity following (everyone from Jennifer Aniston to Demi Moore). Most of their products have a clean, fresh smell; they’re simply packaged, free of fillers, and most importantly are, as far as I can tell, always effective (particularly their acne products, though some are prone to smelling a bit noxious…). My latest discovery is the Mario Badescu Super Rich Olive Body Lotion($10-$22). Unlike what the name might have you think, this isn’t a heavy lotion. It’s lightweight and relatively fast absorbing. It has an refreshingly light, unisex scent (almost like a baby lotion), and really, really, REALLY has helped soften my skin. The scent doesn’t linger very long (a few minutes at most), but the hydration is long lasting, which is crucial now that skin is out in full force…I for one don’t want to be piling on cream in the warm weather!
Interestingly enough the moisturizer, which is olive oil-based, spreads easily without feeling greasy and though it’s not as thick as the lotions I would typically use for my elbows, knees, and other spots prone to being particularly dry, this one is effective enough to work from the neck down. Hi,
I’ve not tried this before but I’m interested in sampling it -I suffer from dry skin and occasional acne so I’m always looking for the next best thing. Just wondering if you’ve heard of the Salcura skinrange at all? They seem to have a range of completely natural products on range that look good..
