I have been using this eye cream for two years. I cannot believe I was able to commit to such a long-term relationship with a beauty product; I usually have too many affairs going on at once to be mostly monogamous. (That’s not to say I didn’t test other eye creams, but I always went back to this.) Now I have finally run out of Fresh’s Crème Ancienne eye cream, and as a true testament to its greatness, I am renewing my vows and buying yet another jar.
Two years ago I was freaking out about sighting the beginnings of crows’ feet and searching for the ultimate eye cream. I was an avid fan of La Prairie Essence of Skin Caviar Eye Complex, until this came into my life. Two years later and those little lines are still at bay and the skin around my eyes is only better. If after the age of 40, I’m not a true convert, I would have to be crazy.
The thick texture is luxurious, but it completely absorbs and plumps immediately. It’s famously made by monks in a monastery and all gimmicky marketing tricks aside, the fact is this is the best eye cream I have ever used. Results stare back at me every time I look in the mirror. People attribute my youthful non-wrinkles to my great Chinese skin (which accounts for a lot) but remember, a couple years ago, I had the beginnings of wrinkles that were quickly smoothed away with my real secret.
