The Olsen twins are killing me. They have not made a single miss with any of their bags since they launched them last July. Fluid and minimalist, The Row is still on a winning streak nearly a year later.
This shoulder bag might just be the boldest design so far. Large-scale python in this buttercup-tan color and natural pattern can easily look stale and matronly. But this modern, boxy shape with hard, rigid lines and an obvious lack of hardware makes it all feel fresh yet classic. I love the idea of a girl tossing it over her shoulder without a second thought, whether she’s wearing a structured blazer, linen blouse, or smart sundress.
I have had one complaint with Mary-Kate and Ashley’s bags: the prices. At least this one is okay. It’s still more than it should be, but at least it’s python and a normal-sized bag (as in, not a pouch). On Net-a-Porter
Pair with: A revamp of a classic gold cuff will suit this bag nicely. Bidermann’s chunky brass bracelet has been threaded with thin strands of gold for modern-meet-medieval style. At Barneys New York for $850.
