There is no beauty gadget I consider more essential than the Clarisonic. The little device will change your skin and you’ll see results very, very quickly – TRUST. A few friends have tried the imitators and while I cannot vouch for or against them from personal experience, from all of those that I know that have tried them, they do not stack up (Clarisonic, unlike many of the other devices, has bristles that move side-to-side even though it looks like they’re rotating). Now the geniuses behind the original Clarisonic– seriously, they’re geniuses, they also invented the Sonicare Toothbrush– have come-out with the Clarisonic Acne Clarifying Collection ($169).
The collection includes the new travel-friendly Mia 2 (it has two speeds versus one), the new Acne Cleansing Brush Head (it has new bristles that are gentler than their other brush heads and the bristle gradation is extra-plush for concentrated pore flushing), and the new Acne Daily Clarifying Cleanser (formulated with 2% salicylic acid). I don’t have acne, but I’m acne-prone so I’m fine with a regular Clarisonic brush head and non-salicylic acid cleanser (and when I do have the occasional blemish the regular brush head works to help speed up the healing process), but if you have mild acne this kit makes it easy to tackle. To boot, I know experts always say you can only get rid of blackheads via manual extraction, but I swear the Clarisonic (no matter the brush head), has helped rid me of some blackheads and make my pores smaller!
