Honestly I can’t remember how I initially heard about Therapy Systems, but their products are pretty great. The brand’s name makes it sound as though the line would be “super serious”, but while focused on delivering effective products, they’ve also got a bunch of fun finds like their lip balm, Even Better Than Lips ($14), which tastes a little cocoa-y to me (in a good way), even though there’s not cocoa in it. I often find that with lip balms the effective ones increase my lip sensitivity and I end up needing to apply the product all the time, but I didn’t find it with this one, which is moisturizing, while also being formulated with Vitamin E for some antioxidant benefits.
Lips aside, they just launched four new skincare products: Skin Perfecting Body Wash, 24-Hour Body Lotion, Cleansing Oil, and Bamboo Brightening Scrub. The body wash stands out in particular, for me, because it’s formulated with 1% salicylic acid. I’m having some back acne at the moment from working out and not showering/changing fast enough so squirting this down my back in the shower has really helped (I saw a difference the day after I used it for the first time) . Unlike most other acne-fighting body products however the bottle doesn’t make it look like a treatment product or say acne in big letters so it’s not “embarrassing” to have out on full display.
