If I could have one hair-related wish — aside from permanently getting rid of frizz — it would be for Oribe to open a Manhattan salon. His products are beyond. Not only are they beautifully packaged, but they all actually do what they say they will do! Oribe Signature Royal Blowout ($42) is meant to protect your hair when you’re heat styling so spray a few spritzes on damp hair and it will help reduce frizz, protect color, and condition. It’s also supposed to add shine, but I still use some shine spray in conjunction with it. What I like most about this product is that unlike the Redken heat styling spray I was using before, I can spray this on my hair and not have to wash it that night (or the next morning if I put it in at night). It’s totally non-sticky/greasy (actually the opposite – it leaves hair soft!), sprays on completely transparent, and is so lightweight you won’t believe that it can still be effective in helping fight frizz. It also has a nice bergamot and jasmine smell so your hair won’t smell the least bit chemical-y. It’s moisturizing enough that come summer I won’t need it, but because my hair is so dry at the moment I follow it up with Oribe Signature Creme for Style ($29). As a final note, the spray is supposed to speed up blow dry time and while I haven’t done a time comparison with my old Redken spray to know for sure, as unbelievable as it sounds, I think it actually really does speed up the drying process.
