Guerlain Limited Edition Holiday 2011 Les Ombres de Nuit

I don’t switch-up my eye shadows too often, but Guerlain’s Limited Edition Holiday 2011 Les Ombres de Nuit ($59) palette is so stellar I’ve relegated my go-to Sensai palette to the bottom of my makeup bag! These shades looks awesome mixed together – seriously I layer a mix of all four and I’ve been getting so many complements on my eye makeup lately. They go so well together that you don’t need to be strategic about it; even if you apply them more or less haphazardly you’ll be fine. I usually mix the sparkling grey and dark blue first (over primer) and then layer on a touch of the more popping pearly light green and sparkling blue and then finish it with a little swish of grey. I then apply a touch of black liner and lots of black mascara. The palette also comes with a great brush – it’s long and double-ended with one side rounded and the other with a slightly point brush to make targeted application a breeze. Plus the palette itself is gorge – gold and it comes with a velvet pouch. Forget about gifting, this is one palette to get for yourself!
