Bumble and bumble Introduces Straight Line

Bumble and bumble’s newest range of hair products was used extensively during Fashion Week, particularly Bb.Straight Blow Dry ($28). Also in the line is a shampoo (the first ever sulfate-free cleanser from Bumble and bumble, $29) and conditioner ($32). About two months ago I got lab samples of all three and have been using them more or less ever since. I love Bb’s shampoos and conditioners because they usually smell great and they’re always effective so I was happy to try out Straight since the line was pretty much designed for people with my hair type — basically someone who is mixed texture, looking to reduce frizz, and increase

manageability for pulled together looks (my hair tends to be either up in a chignon or flat-ironed straight). The products are all paraben-free and

safe for use on colored or chemically-treated hair.

All three products smell light and fresh and if you warm them up in your hands before working them through your hair you’ll only need very little for them to be effective. In fact, even though my hair is so knot-prone and long that I need to use a hair mask every time I wash (Bb., why didn’t you make a Straight Mask!?), the conditioner in the line is a lot more effective than countless supposedly heavy-duty masks I’ve tried recently (notably this disappointingly ineffective one from Serge Normant). As for

Bb.Straight Blow Dry it’s super lightweight and works great to help achieve a sleek, straight look; just work a small amount through your hair before heat styling.
