Patyka Biokaliftin Intensive Cleansing Milk Cleanser: Magic Milk

Ever since falling deep in love with Patyka‘s sensuous body oil, I have been obsessing over the rest of the line. Cleansing milk is my preferred face-washing method – I’m not a fan of the stripped, squeaky-clean feeling; it seems to take too much away in the process – and this milk had me at hello. I initially responded to the heavenly scent: it’s unlike any beauty product’s fragrance – earthy and grassy, with a hint of rose. A little bit like a salad, but not overpoweringly verdant, which I love but floral fanatics might not be so keen on it.

Packed with essential oils, like dog rose oil (rich in fatty acids, it’s amazing for cellular regeneration and increasing firmness), cornflower (reduces bags and dark circles), and palmarosa (enhances a natural glow). The oils not only assist with cleaning, but they hydrate in the process and ensure you’re skin is left supple, never depleted and tight.

And Patyka’s milk does deep clean. When I use my Clarisonic brush, I begin by rubbing the cleanser all over my face and then take the brush to it, distributing it evenly and giving me a first pass at surface cleaning. Then the Clarisonic finishes the job, leaving me breathless with freshness! Makeup has disappeared and my pores are clear (I can tell because after only a week of using, I have noticed less build-up in the pores).

Even the dispenser is ingenious. There’s a plunger at the top of the pump, keeping the precious product sealed for longer shelf life and free of bacteria. It comes out in a curved cavity, ideal for your fingers to scoop up. On Dermstore for $55. Sounds pricey but it’s worth it!
