Allow me to introduce my new favorite summer dress! Whit‘s “Margaux” is the peasant-inspired maxi done to perfection – an easy, effortless look that can go as laid-back as you want for day; pull on your best wedge sandals in the evening and you’re ready to go out to a casual dinner. The print is created with a batik dying technique (so summery), so it’s irregular and organic, enhancing the relaxed feel.
My initial reservation was that the skirt would look too A-line, but apparently not, since every time I wear it, which seems to be as soon as it’s clean, I get major compliments. Instead, I invite the volume and leave the two bottom buttons open for easy walking. Besides, it never hurts to show some leg! A white cami underneath and I can leave the top open above the rope belt – airy and flowy. And there you have it: a sure summer staple that’s already a can’t-live-without-it item for me. At Saks Fifth Avenue for $195.
