All the classics are here – turn-lock closure, ladylike shape, chain straps – and these borrowed elements have been melded to perfection. Suede complimented by a strip of silk amounts to soothing texture, the fastening is sharply minimal enough for the brand to call the closure its own, and the chains have surprisingly large, loose links.
As a matter of fact, the straps are my least favorite aspect of the bag, but for strictly personal reasons. I’m not too keen on the slack link look – fumbling with flaccid yet heavy straps becomes a hassle when I’m opening the bag and this strap doubles over, so metal weight is an added concern. But the lambent deep azure color makes up for the weight.
