If faced with a choice I would give up every last makeup product I own before parting with my Clarisonic or Sonicare. I’ve been using a Sonicare toothbrush for nearly a decade and I haven’t had a single cavity since. As for the Clarisonic, I’ve been using it since 2008 and it has completely changed my skin. Literally you will see and feel the difference after using either one of these gadgets just once. I always feel like I’m in an infomercial when I talk about either of them in person because I get so excited about how incredibly effective they are! Needless to say I was happy to have the opportunity to meet the inventors of both devices a few days ago at a Clarisonic event.
A few other bloggers and I spent a good hour getting into the intricacies of what makes the Clarisonic work and how it’s different from anything on the market, but truth be told I didn’t need to be convinced, the proof is in the pudding. There are so many imitators out there and while I haven’t tried any of the wannabees, I can pretty much guarantee you’ll consider the Clarisonic the best investment you made for your skin in a long time. I’d suggest going with the Plus because it’s the only one compatible with all of the brand’s brush heads: delicate, sensitive, normal, body, and the recently launched deep pore cleansing one (the other systems work with every head except for body). I was given a sample of the Clarisonic Deep Pore Cleansing Brush Head at the event and will definitely be working it into my skincare routine 1-2 times a week (in addition to daily cleaning with the regular Clarisonic brush). It doesn’t feel any different than the Sensitive brush I use on the rest of my face, so it should be fine even if you have sensitive skin. I’ve been using it on all my areas that are prone to blackheads and I imagine this is going to make my extractions a lot less painful next time I have a facial! Clarisonic now also has some limited edition Pink Brush Heads
