My friend Cindy is renewing her vows for her 10th wedding anniversary. I had the exciting and super fun job of helping her pick out a dress. We went dress shopping and we were instantly turned into giggling little girls. Lunchtime cocktails contributed to the jubilant mood, but that was a must for such a celebratory occasion! This is not her “real” wedding so she is going to make it pure fun without any traditional trappings, which means, Vegas baby! So what we need is an appropriate dress to go with the debauchery that will become of the 3 day party. No meringue, train or poof – we are going for whimsical and seductive but tasteful, of course. Here are the top 3 choices.
Second up, is my favorite. Oscar de la Renta‘s short fairy-like interpretation of a traditional gown is lighthearted enough to fit the mood but still has the aura and allure of a first time bride. Just call me traditional =)
The most practical option is a non-wedding dress, this Thakoon has all the flair and flounce of a bridal dress but is an easy summer strapless that will see the light of day again.
