Reed Krakoff has been nailing it for me lately, and he’s struck gold yet again with this artful sandal. Thick, chunky straps in contrasting tones are totally gratifying, especially on a heel that can handle them. The expected route would have been to stick a platform on the front, but Krakoff is unpredictable. Instead, he lets you focus on the architectural 5″ heel: thick from the side, but it has a slender, sexy profile from the back. Natural tone color-blocking and a stacked heel are a little retro, sure. But a bit of a throwback feel never hurt anyone. For spring you can amp it up with by bringing a few more colors to the mix. Yes, why not? Go vivid and go all out. On Net-a-Porter
