I love a dramatic, dark, and smokey look, but I also yearn for bigger and brighter eyes. I thought I’d found the perfect way to highlight my eyes in all the strategic places to offset my dark shadow. Well, I’ve been playing with Cargo‘s Eyelighter Brightening Stick – and I really wanted to love it – but frankly, this powder is a big mess. You would think that the two-sided stick with a rounded tip for the corner of the eye and sharp tip for under the brow would allow for that much-needed precision. Not the case.
Where do I start? The powder’s in a reservoir inside the cap, so when you twist it open, you have no control over how much comes out. My first try resulted in a glob stuck in the corner of my eye. What a waste of product! Then I used the applicator to blend my dark shadow, and now the applicator’s permanently dark. So much for eye “brightener.”
I finally just used my fingertips, and thought, “uhhh, what’s the point!?” I’m going back to my simple shadow and saving myself the frustration. On Amazon
