A beauty snob can’t be too loyal! Bioelements is a line I’ve been using for years, and I go back to them every couple of years. I love my scrubs and after lathering my face with a slue of other scrubs, I had forgotten how much I love this one. It has the perfect consistency of tiny white crystals; the granules just exfoliating enough but not so rough that they’re torturous. I hate scrubs that are too gentle – what’s the point? You just feel tiny balls rolling around your face doing nothing. This is an old-school scrub with a delicate scent that’s easy to ignore – not intrusive and all up your nose. While it gets the job done, it tends to be drying. I like adding a pump of my trusty Shu Uemura oil for a much nicer experience: a deep cleanse with the oil, a topical clean with the scrub.
Especially with all the sunscreen you’ll be using as the temperature rises and you spend more time outside, you must have a solid exfoliator to shed built-up thickness and let your freshest skin shine. On Spa Look for $51.
Is Maybelene to recommend? They can be seen almost everywhere, but are they good? Yessir!
Love scrubs! This sounds amazing. What are the ingredients in this one?
This is made from real pumice, which is a volcanic ash. It is of course made very very fine. There are also ginseng extract and a bunch of different oils like lavendar, sage, and citrus.
