I am about to end the longest relationship I’ve ever had in my life. I have been fully committed to my Shu Uemura tweezers for 20 years. They were the best, bar none, so I had no reason to play the field. But along came Beauty is Life aluminum tweezers and I realized I’d had my head in the sand (eyebrows and all) for two decades. I guess things can change and improve over time – stupid me for almost forgoing what are truly the best tweezers in the world. Beauty for Life tweezers have so many great features: a wider tweezing surface, sharper edges, springier tension, and a grip with traction for super control and handling (which is its nicest aspect since it enables you to go at those brows lightening fast without having to readjust your grip). My old Shu Uemura tweezers had that slanted tip which I thought was necessary for precision, but phooey on that. My new tweezers are so incredibly precise I could actually pluck one single hair right in the middle of my brow if I chose to (but why would I actually do that?). They are also great for putting on fake eyelashes, especially the individual ones. They come in hot pink: not only cute but eye-catching when I’m searching for them in my cosmetic bag. I’ve been totally won over, so it’s out with the old, and in with the new! Here’s to another 20 years. At Barneys New York for $28.50.
