This oddly angular yet rotund bowler bag is growing on me the more I look at it. As in, I think I need to make it mine. I recently complained about the “Adele” clutch with the same stern, flat bottom, but hello! For a khaki tote, the strong structure makes perfect sense. The pebbled leather detailing mimicking darts is endlessly fascinating – it draws your eye in and punctuates an otherwise buxom bag. And I love the distinctness of a squared-off bottom and fat bubble top. Especially in burlap set against stark black leather: the result is always clean and razor-sharp.
There’s got to be something off-kilter – ya know, cuz it’s Wang – and it’s in the angle of the zippers. They stick out like harem pants on a woman’s hips, at least that’s what it looks like to me. Better on my bag than on my legs! On ShopBop
