Thanks to the “PS1” style and their countless rifts on it, Proenza Schouler has become the first choice in messenger bags for the style-savvy. The “Cabas” is a morphed version. It’s more grown-up than the funkier “PS1” shape, making it a great work bag, although it might be a little cumbersome to use due in part to the widening, elongated shape. The wrinkled leather body, reminiscent of canvas (a traditional messenger material), is deceptively luxurious. I am in love with the color combo of butternut tan and deep, dark brown – classic preppy, almost a glam version of something a little British schoolboy snob might carry! Available at Barneys for $1990.
This would wear brilliantly with Alexander McQueen’s Prince-of-Wales-checked wool-blend dress, which is also an even mix of old-world handsomeness and modern cool.
Looks heavy.
I sure bet it`s heavy, but I think it looks cute and it`s quite very practical too 🙂
I agree with the previous posters that it looks heavy. I can’t imagine carrying everyday. Awkward.
