Fashion Month has just wrapped and what an exciting season it has been! I still cannot get this Alexander McQueen gown and this Marchesa one out of my mind…wow! And what about the makeup at Viktor & Rolf and Vivienne Westwood?? It wasn’t all ball gowns and face paint though (as fantastically entertaining as both of those are), and now that it’s all done it’s fun to look back and piece together some of the season’s most exciting trends. Among my favorite were all of the loose ponytails we saw on the runways (especially loved Dries van Noten‘s hair look), the exaggerated cat eye looks (how awesome is this metallic one at Derek Lam?), and the natural lips with slight shine like we saw on the Prada runway. Above all else though, what I’m most excited about is to get Chanel’s new graphite nail polish and the greenish-gold shade Butter created for the Betsey Johnson both of which will be launching this summer. Let’s hope Moda Operanti is working on adding limited edition beauty products into their offerings because I’m sure both shades won’t be easy to come by!
