When I first saw these I thought, meh, I’ve seen this done a thousand times. The black peep toe sling back on a wooden heel is done every year and I never seem to warm up to the look because I don’t like wearing things that 1000 other people (including mortal enemies) may be wearing.
However, when I took a closer look and saw the chic subtle snake skin print on top of a rich, dark wood and a tall but interesting heel, I started to reconsider my prior judgments. This shoe is versatile, simple, and done in a way that is different and a bit classier than how I’ve seen this look done before. There is something about the thickness of the heel near the base of the shoe that I really like. I would have enjoyed seeing something creative done with the buckle but it still works. That being said, you might have to save your pennies for these bad boys. They will set you back $1,015 at ElyseWalker.
