As an insurance policy, get this Stella McCartney coat with the idyllic garden that we all wish we had in our backyards. This look could get a bit much and start looking like the bathroom wallpaper at The Ivy but with the right look, it is amazing. On Etsy you can find ceramic coffee mugs printed with almost the exact same botanical images. The shape brings to mind early nineties Claude Montana swing coat knock-offs. Not enough volume for a statement, but enough fabric to make you look like you are trying to hide winter weight gain.
Maybe this coat looks better in motion but Grandma is the least of this look’s worries.
The shape is just so matronly. Maybe “tent-like” is a better way of describing it.
