The Alice + Olivia presentation is always a highlight of the week. It is more of a party than anything else and this season it took place at the Plaza Hotel. The models posed on podiums while the guests sipped champagne and nibbled on chocolates. Alice + Olivia is always a bit vintage inspired but this collection is not subtle about it. I absolutely loved the feel of the glamorous 20’s, she even had a burlesque dancer performing throughout the show along with DJ Mia Moretti and electric violinist Caitlin Moe. Known for dresses, this collection experimented with separates and full trousers – yes and yes! I felt like I was shopping, with so many pieces to look at (38 looks) while trying to see how I would wear them. The beaded and sequin jackets were amazing – I imagined myself wearing them with the bell pants, gold skinny pants, tight pencil skirt or jeans, how lovely are all those choices? The fur collar cardigan, fur trimmed vests and sequin tweed coat are all going in my shopping bag.
