I’m in love with this look. Sure it would be fabulous to get this Michael Kors pleated skirt since it can be dressed up, as well, but it’s the tee shirt, belt and long skirt I’m after. Michael is genius for creating a collection that is as chic and sexy as always but with a casual, almost blase attitude toward fashion. It is very LA, you know, the arduous undertaking of looking like you don’t care about how you look. Rachel Zoe perfected that look for Nicole Richie and look where she is now. You can’t help but look tall and lean in this. The belt is the anchor, making it obvious that you did in fact put some thought into it, otherwise you would just look like a sloppy street urchin. I would get an extra long belt and loop it over in a loose knot. Then gladiator sandals. The pleated texture of this skirt makes it more lush but you can get the trendy maxi skirt anywhere. Michael Kors look at Bergdorf Goodman, Fitted Tee for $495 (I don’t think so), Belt for $295 and pleated skirt for $1195.

This is a really cute look. Unfortunately, I am too short to pull it off well. The skirt is beautiful (I LOVE the pleating) and I love it with the belt and tee. That said, the day I pay $500 for a tee is the day someone needs to be appointed as my financial guardian.
