Blame my fear of ever having a needle touch my face, but I’m in my 20s and obsessed with preventing wrinkles and fine lines – like freak-out mid-workout because I see myself frowning, or suck in my cheeks after I smile a lot, obsessed. On top of that I kind of have Woody Allen’s germaphobe OCD about touching my face. For the most part the only time I do it is occasionally to apply foundation when I don’t have a sponge. Did you know that alcohol based hand sanitizers only last a matter of seconds?? And hands are the biggest conductors of germs! I also worry about most of my wrinkle-prevention creams being in jars that are constantly exposed to who-knows-what that’s floating around in the air every time I open them. Rodial’s new Glamtox Night over-comes the latter issue because the product has a push mechanism that dispenses the gel so only the amount you need is exposed from the bottle (also doesn’t hurt that the packaging is a sexy glistening silver!).
I wish the gel would also come with a magic tool to allow me to be less wasteful with my night lotions and potions, because even with this one I’ll apply the gel onto a sponge or tissue and use that to apply it to my face. Does anyone else do that? I know my best friend rolls her eyes every time she sees me do it, but I’m convinced I’d break out if I touched my face all over every night! To that point I should point out that Glamtox is only 30ml for about $115, so if your like me and use quite a bit every night, this won’t last very long. It’s odor-less though, fast-absorbing, and very moisturizing even when I have the heat blasting my skin doesn’t feel dry…I like to keep the heat at sauna-level in my apartment:)
