Emily Blunt in Roksanda Ilincic

Los Angeles might be in the midst of a seemingly never ending rainstorm, but you’d never tell by the spring-terrific ensemble Emily Blunt wore to the premiere of “Gulliver’s Travels” was a tented affair today at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. Designed by what seems to be her favorite designer of the moment–Serbian-born, London-based Roksanda Ilincic–Blunt’s cheery top and skirt are actually from the Fall 2009 collection. You may have never heard of Roksanda, but she’s definitely worth a serious look; known for her use of feminine details like brocade, tiered sleeves and rosettes, her draping and European sensibility are quite evident to the eye. Her outfit may seem a bit casual for a red carpet premiere, but at least the colors flow harmoniously. The ruched blue top offsets her pale complexion beautifully–I would’ve loved to have seen her wear a full cocktail dress cut in the same color cloth.
