This Balenciaga Blue Sac is intriguing. It looks a little like a cross between a backpack because of the draw string closure and a normal purse.
The laser cut wrinkled lambskin bag has a unique blueberry color that looks good enough to eat. There is a lot that I like about this bag other than the yummy coloring; it is a great size, would be comfortable to carry and is easily accessible with the simple closure.
However, I have to say, this looks a little like a diaper bag, or a knapsack. It makes me think of the time I stuffed every toy I could fit into a drawstring bag when I was 8 to run away to my friends house because my mom wouldn’t let me eat milk duds for breakfast or wear Candies high heels to school. Looking back, mom was right about the Candies (sick), but wrong about the Duds. They are delicious.
The shape of it isn’t something I am immediately drawn too, it’s a bit dumpy for my taste, but I certainly don’t hate the bag.

Never cared to have a Balenciaga, my mother has plenty. And never been in love with one of their designs. I guess they`re ok.

Great colour. No really a must have for me but I can see people like Nicole Richie wearing it for a laid back bohemian look. Would be good for concerts I think.
They did this shape–the Pom Pon–and that had a (more practical) cross-body feature. Balenciaga does color dyes better than anyone. But their interiors are cheaply made and frankly the bag in relation to the quality is way over-priced. I’ve owned quite a few and sold them all. They are easy to sell because there’s a cult to this brand out there. I’m over brands for branding’s sake and look now for unique designs and superior quality WITH EASY USABILITY to an intelligent price point. If it’s a big brand, fine. If not, that’s fine, too.
We are limited in the US; Europe has far more choices. Especially when it comes to superior Italian leather. But Stella has the right idea: go beyond leather for eco-animal sustainability. Better for the planet; better for the animals (ethics). I look to guys like Matt & Nat to lead the quality vs ridiculous price points. Stella does have great designs. Forgive my rambling.
