Pedro Garcia Debbie calf hair and wooden sandals: Meh.

Personally, I am not a huge fan of shoes that don’t have a “wow” factor in some respect, and to me, these just say, meh.

It’s not that I hate them, because I don’t. They are classic looking. I enjoy wooden pumps, and I’m sure these could be worn a number of different ways with a number of different outfits. I just cannot see myself wearing them, or advising my friend to but them.

One of the reasons for this is that I think the Pedro Garcia Debbie calf hair and wooden sandals are supremely unflattering to anyone with even the slightest bit of a normal body type. On a supermodel, sure they would work. I mean, Bar Refaeli would look good with tea cups glued to her boobs, wearing a lobster hat and a tutu, but that isn’t the case with everyone else. These shoes are high (3.5 inches) but have a low slope to them given the platform height, so they are just making you taller, not necessarily giving you that drop that elongates you. Remember – there is a difference between looking taller and looking longer. You’re kind of just carrying around large blocks of unflattering wood. Not so sexy.

The other factor is that the straps are very, well, ordinary and boring. I mean sure, it’s a warm weather sandal with black straps and gold studs and it is wearable, and versatile, but extremely forgettable.

What I’m getting at, is that I feel like I’ve seen this sandal in a million department stores before and every time I see it it’s blah, and this version of it is equally as enticing.
