When I first saw this bag at the Cartier showroom, I thought it was a chic and terribly understated bag that would be most at home on the shoulder while running errands. Well, voila! None other than Jennifer Garner, herself no stranger to Cartier’s sumptuous leathergoods, was spotted toting the brand new Marcello de Cartier hobo bag (it was released November 1). Garner’s version is in shiny bronze calfskin–a perfect color to match everything from jeans and a black blazer (as seen here) to, dare I say, workout clothes straight from the trainer. It’s the ideal size to fit all your daily essentials (including that tall water bottle), while the structured top keeps everything firmly in place. Admittedly, it’s not the most eye-catching of bags in the schoolyard, but it’s designed for the decidedly anti-flashy actress or mommy set that prefers quality over glam quotient. Fortunately, the two merge beautifully when it comes to the jewels.

Love the shape of this Hobo– especially the closure
I thought the bag was a bit “pointless” in a sense that there was nothing about it that would make me want to have it. Of course I have only seen it on a picture, maybe I would feel different if I saw it “in person”, but for now – hmm, just plain boring. Very high quality boring though 😉
I love that this has a single strap. Any busy mom knows that the second strap continuously falling down your arm is soo annoying. I love Jennifer Garner, and I love this bag.
Besides, she is married to my teenage crush. C’mon, what 30 something now did not love Ben Affleck? I still dream about him in Armageddon.
It’s okay. I would have to go to the Cartier in our Galleria to see if it is user friendly.
I called the Beverly Hills store. They do not have the bag and it is not available in any Cartier store or on their website. I was told that they don’t know when it will be available in their stores.
