Simply put, these shoes are sexy as well. Gone are the bubble gum pinks and rosy red, gone are the rosettes, bows and ribbons. These are a power woman’s heels! Take one look at that black leather stiletto and tell me if you’d dare mess with the woman who has those shoes on. I didn’t think so. Never one to rest on his laurels, Alber Elbaz always manages to inject a dose of individuality to whatever he touches; in this case note the metal ankle cuff that firmly encircles the leg and layered with the ankle strap leather. Hardcore! Something a tad lighter in mood, aside from the leather flats that evoke a gladiator feel, is the tortoise wedge; it’s got the serious feel but is more feminine thanks to its thicker leather and overall appearance. If you look carefully, you’ll see that the stilettos are all anchored at the sole by an additional metal joint. That look is particularly effective in the cut fishnet Mary Jane-esque heel with the double wraparound ankle strap. It’s one part dominatrix, two parts sexy villainess.
