Ladies, just in time for Valentine’s Day (hint, hint to boyfriends and significant others), Jimmy Choo founder and chief creative officer Tamara Mellon is unleashing her inner scents and sensibility with the label’s first namesake fragrance. Created with Inter Parfums and composed by International Flavors & Fragrances perfumer Olivier Polge, Mellon describes the scent as modern, comprised of fruity chypre with green top notes, along with notes of exotic tiger orchid, sweet toffee and Indonesian patchouli. The collection will initially launch in eau de parfum form, along with ancillary products such as a body lotion and shower gel (an eau de toilette will also be launched in select markets). And how about that bottle? Inspired by Murano glass, the textured silhouette of the bottle is simple yet highly artistic. I love how the sensuous lines of the bottle are juxtaposed with a solid, squared-off bottle cap. Mellon, by the way, stars in the fragrance campaign shot by Inez & Vinoodh.
