All afternoon I have been looking for pictures of my 8th Grade Dance dress, which I’m almost positive could’ve been put side by side with Hilary Swank in a “Who Wore It Better?” post. Turns out, we didn’t have digital cameras then, therefore it’s impossible to find.
Hilary and her fantastic body walked the red carpet at the premiere of “Conviction” on October 5th in Beverly Hills. The actress wore Chanel Fall 2010 Couture to the event, sans the jacket (and boots) presented on the runway. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say I wish she would’ve worn the jacket. Chanel makes beautiful pieces, but without the jacket, I feel like I’m looking at a dress that girls would shorten and wear to da club. Yes, I said, “da club.”
Of course the dress fits her like a glove and her shoes and clutch make her look even more fabulous, but I still can’t help but see discoteca. What do you think? Don’t get me wrong, it’s gorgeous, but with the jacket it’s fashion.
