I am absolutely smitten with these shoes. Smitten, I tell you. Ever since I saw these on the Fall 2010 runway, I have been waiting with bated breath for them to arrive in stores. And they’re finally here! First, the facts: the heel measures about 6 inches with a 1 inch curved platform; the round toe allows for a simple slip on, and the fabulously fierce trim on back is ’70s-inspired goat hair. While there was an electric blue version shown on the runway as well, the classic black suede manages to be both timeless and edgy without seeming dated. These babies will look as hot with a fitted skirt suit by Dries Van Noten as they will a ballgown by Dior. Don’t be afraid to mix and match it up, ladies. These shoes are designed to be an exclamation point! Just be forewarned by Bag Snob Tina’s womanly words of advice: “thick ankles beware!”
