Prada Spring 2011 Shoes

Before I go any further, can I just wax poetic on how HOT Miuccia’s take on the classic men’s wingtips are? Like, seriously, OMG! I wish Prada did a men’s version of these for me to attempt to wear. While I don’t need any extra height (I’m 6’1), I do think my guy friends who are 5’10 and under will give these a serious look. These might be a nice look with my cropped Thom Browne suit, no? But I digress…

When it wasn’t about a wedge–and boy were they high–it was all about a raffia Mary Jane. Festooned in every single color under the sun, they were schizophrenic but in a good way. I personally loved the silver Mary Jane wedge; check out that green and black striped heel! It’s bound to be a hit with my editor friends for sure. Miuccia certainly worked her magic with textures for spring in a creative yet practical way. The cork mixed with cushioned foam with rubber will certainly be eye-catching when they finally hit the ground running–at least they’ll be super comfortable!
