While its clothing designs may have been rich in Moroccan excess, Frida Giannini’s accessories only hinted at Marrakech. Tooled leather purses with braided straps were a mainstay of the collection, which focused heavily on clutches and “evening bags” (and not of the Judith Leiber kind)–at least for the runway. On occasion there would be a smattering of day bags, most of which were festooned with tassels and gorgeous, intricate stitching. I personally loved spring’s new take on the “New Bamboo” top handle bag. But considering how chic and classic the fall collection bags were–and in particular the return to the vintage GG logo–I couldn’t help but yearn for a little more this go around.
The clutches seem very similar to Louis Vuitton’s African Queen clutch from a couple of years ago.
Though the styles of the clutch and the shoulder bag are nothing new, I do like it, especially given the fact that I am never a big fan of Gucci bags.
this is very useful information.
i will bookmark it.
