Colorblocking appeared to be the name of the game when it came to the runway shoes at Fendi. Gone were the cringe-inducing stilettos and wobbly platforms; in their place are sensible heel heights that should prove to be a sigh of relief for those Fendi loyalists. The moderate heels came affixed to shoes in sensible textures like wood, leather and cork. While the cork heels were a nice spring touch, the shoes–save the platforms–were a bit disappointing. It’s not that I want women to suffer for their fashion, but there could have been something more tantalizing to show. The platforms, like I said, were my favorite; I love the slingback with the two slim straps.
….toenails????even a clear polish would have been nice.
