Christian Siriano is no stranger to collaborations – he’s teamed-up with everyone from Payless and Victoria Secret, to Fiji! One of the coolest collaborations the Project Runway alum has undertaken however was his belt collaboration with eco-model, Summer Rayne Oakes. All of the belts shown in the designer’s S/S 2011 collection were made completely from tree bark provided by Oakes through her green consulting company Source4Style. How cool! On a side note, Oakes wrote an awesome book called “Style, Naturally: The Savvy Shopping Guide to Sustainable Fashion and Beauty” that features everything from eco shoe and denim brands to eco cosmetic and jewelry ones. It’s full of pictures and quick descriptions making it a great “bible,” for anyone looking to make more eco-friendly shopping decisions.
