Diane von Furstenberg

The atmosphere at the show was full of love, love for DvF. And how could you not love her? She is a brilliant designer and one of the most sincere and geniune person there is. But all the love for Diane herself aside, this collection was one of the best in many seasons. It was all about purple and brown and now she introudces key lime green and brown which is so refreshing and seems brand new. She was all about relaxed chic, oversize coats were more like robes (perfect for vacation!!) and even the wrap dress was drop waist with a blousy top. There were tunic one pieces with attached shorts! Hello, why didn’t someone else think of this before? I love tunics but it’s always tricky what to wear on the bottom. But the piece de resistance, for me, was the hooded wrap dresses. I don’t even know how to express in words how freaking fabulous these are. The dress is sophisticated but the hood gives it the relaxed effortless feel that you can just live in. And she has obviously been to Greece, she has said that her inspiration comes from her traveling. The Greek Keys silk jersey long t-shirt dress is something I need to buy immediately. And one word on bags, she has a fanny pack that totally redefines fanny packs and will change your image of the gross pouchy fanny that comes to mind. This is more like a clutch but with a belt. As always, I have no patience to wait for the line to be available at retail.
