Each season there are always one or two shoe collaborations that immediately capture my attention and result in lust worthy want. I already extolled my thoughts on Alejandro Ingelmo’s works of art for Chris Benz; now, in a slightly more Upper East Side vibe, I present to you the wedges Christian Louboutin did for Gilles Mendel’s J. Mendel runway show. The razor thin wedges are wrapped in bright coral silk faille bands that tie sweetly at the ankle not only look comfortable, but will undoubtedly be one of the most sought after shoes from Beverly Hills to the Hamptons. I love the ballerina toe-like front of the shoe; it’s almost like they’re smiling. It’s also really refreshing to see a designer take a more whimsical approach to shoe pairings and deviate from the vertiginous stiletto of seasons past.
Love, it!!! wantthem for my wedding dress!!! are they going to be available in store?
