This exfoliator heats up when mixed with water, as in, it is hot to the touch. I have never experienced anything like this before. The packaging says that I will feel a warm sensation but I thought my skin will just feel warm when I apply it, so I was thrown back and slightly confused when I squeezed this on my fingers and felt it get all hot. I was like, am I getting hot flashes? It is a clay based scrub so the consistency is pasty and when applied to the skin it does not disperse like other scrubs so you really get a concentration of product while working it on. The bamboo makes this a rougher exfoliant but the grains are very fine, I definitely felt like I was removing some dead skin. I did this after an enzyme mask, which was a bad idea because my skin was really thinned out and I was totally feeling it. The instructions said to leave it on for a minute after working it in but I couldn’t stand it, between the enzyme and this heat, my skin was on fire! I did try it again a few days later and did not feel the burning so I do not blame this product for that. My skin did look incredibly radiant and fresh!
