For fall Gucci has embarked on a visit to its past, bringing back a classic silhouette with vintage cachet: the 1973 GG logo is a redesign from the house’s archives. It’s the epitome of chic! Wear it with fall’s streamlined silhouettes. I love the military green suede with tonal leather trim; its antique brass hardware and double zip-top closure lend a dose of utility that isn’t fussy; the double handles with a 6″ drop are smooth and soft and the large front flap pocket with snap closure keeps the bag simple and user friendly. This is one of those bags I picture Rene Russo carrying in “The Thomas Crown Affair”–it’s practical, glamorous and of a fabulous lineage.
$1,750, available at Neiman Marcus.
Oh, it’s fabulous! I wish it came in a nice tan or oxblood leather as well…
Ok I’m in love! Gorrrrrgeous!!
It looks vintage. But I’m not a fan.
Weird looking. Vintagey but not in the should-be-revived kinda way. Maybe the soft fluid logo would look good on a different bag though.
Nice!
